An easy date to remember, The North Carolina Seafood Festival is always slated to be held the first weekend in October of every year. It is a combined joint effort of the individual citizens and businesses of Carteret County to ensure this event is fun, enjoyable, exciting and memorable to all to promote the importance of seafood industry in our county. Because of their efforts the North Carolina Seafood Festival grows exponentially every year. There are so many things to see and do.

Carteret County is proud of its commercial fishing vessels. Without them fresh seafood would not be available to our State and could also make a huge impact on our Nation's supply of fresh seafood. The vessels lining the Morehead City waterfront also add a lot of color as seen in the photo above!
