BOYS & GIRLS CLUB "SUNSHINE LADIES" UNIT FUND RAISER IS GREAT SUCCESS!!

2010 Fund raising starts off with a bang bringing in over $10,000 for the Boys and Girls Club "Sunshine Ladies" Unit in Coastal Carolina. Thanks to the many generous sponsors, supporters and volunteers the first fund raiser of the year is a great success. The event was held at Shepard's Point Restaurant on Arendell Street in Morehead City. Prepared with care by Chef Charles, dinner consisted of Surf and Turf (fresh shrimp and filet) in a delicate wine sauce accompanied by luscious mashed potatoes and el dente green beans. Red and white wine was served with the entree' and a decadent chocolate crème brule topped the meal as desert! The Boys and Girls with the guidance of the Sunshine Lady's Club Director, James Seretti, delighted everyone in attendance with songs including a special birthday tribute to three ladies who were celebrating birthdays this weekend. What a special, special birthday gift and what a wonderful event to start off the fun in Carteret County with the Carolina Chocolate Festival! TOP AUCTION ITEM OF THE NIGHT! A Rhapsody in Food & Wine The winner of this elegant and fully catered evening will experience the ultimate culinary opus. The evening will embrace world class wines and a 6 course meal which will include; red or white wine, canapés, hors d’ oeuvres, appetizer, soup and salad, winner’s choice of entree (beef or seafood) and a simply decadent desert. All will be served by a sophisticated ensemble in full regalia, i.e., the Victorian Style French Maid, the Chef (complete with the classic chef’s jacket & toque) and waiters in full regalia. All will be served at your venue at the time and date agreed upon between host and participants. The winner of this unique offering will experience an evening that is traditionally reserved for those blessed with an extraordinary palate and resources to match.
