The Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, NC

Every day at the Beach is a 'good' day! I wish everyone could be as lucky as me and wake up each day with the ability to smell fresh ocean air and know you are only minutes away from a walk on the beach. Even a rainy day is a 'good' day at the beach. It forces you to relax, read a good book or catch up on talking to friends and family. A rainy day is also the perfect opportunity to spend a day at the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores which is scheduled to re-open in May 2006 after extensive renovations. This is an event locals and devoted supporters of the Aquarium are looking forward to with exciting anticipation. You can check out the current progress of the Grand Re-Opening of the Aquarium at North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores . Join in the fun of a DAY AT THE BEACH! It is wonderful therapy for anything that ails you!

Gena,

I was stationed at Cherry Point Marine Air Base 1969-70. I loved Emeral Isle and Atlantic Beach then, and still do. Have spent many summer vacations there in ocean front rentals.

Any time I need a stress relieving relaxation moment, my mind always drifts back to the beaches there, the sun, the salt water, the sea gulls, the fishing piers, the sea oats blowing gently in the never ending ocean breeze, the melody of the waves agains the shore.

I look forward to when I can next get back!
